2008 Cleveland Indians Player Win Values (via fangraphs.com and letsgotribe.com)
According to the chart, 2008 Cy Young Winner Cliff Lee and Grady Sizemore were the most valuable Indians in terms of contributing to team wins. The Indians finished 81-81 last year without any significant contributions from Travis Hafner or Victor Martinez. I expect the team to be very competitive in the Central Division with the addition of Mark DeRosa and the return to form of both Hafner and Martinez (even if they’re producing at their average levels). If Choo can continue what he did during the second half of last year (1.038 OPS) and Peralta his phenominal spring (.600 average, 1.050 OPS), this team’s offense will be a ton of fun to watch.
